Encouraging the Return of Researchers to France

Offering possibilities to young researchers in structures of reference such as the CNRS, INSERM, CEA, INRA, in a university laboratory or in on-campus biotechnology companies is one of the aspects of the employment policy of Genopole®. Genopole® also offers research grants to Ph.D. returning from post-doctorate training abroad in order to allow them to re-enter the French system. Genopole® is reinforcing the Evry site scientifically by attracting statutory researchers through its incentive programs (Atige).

Research Grants

All requests must be submitted through the host laboratory or company where the research will be carried out.

Genopole® Incentive Programs (Atige)

ATIGE programs, which last three years, are intended for researchers holding a position in a public research organization or close to obtaining one.
Research projects must fall within the areas of interest of Genopole®: genomics, post-genomics, bioinformatics, biophysics, engineering sciences applied to large-scale biology (transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, etc.) or human and social sciences.

Non-exhaustive conditions to participate to Genopole® calls for tender:

  • Present a research project and a proposed location at one of the laboratories of the Genopole® campus
  • Simultaneously, candidates without a permanent position must present their applications to the competitive entry exams held by a public research organization
  • Teaching researchers must obtain a partial teaching waiver for three years
  • Mobility is essential: researchers will develop their project in a Genopole® campus laboratory where they have not yet carried out a research activity

Financing for three years is allocated with the possibility of receiving technical aid (term contract).

Ensuring the Next Wave of Scientific Decision-Makers (Researchers and Entrepreneurs)

This dynamic development policy of scientific employment, both in academic laboratories and in biotechnology companies, also involves a search for future project developers or scientific managers by participating in trade shows specializing in life sciences such as the USA Forums, the French Biotechnology Crossroads, BIO, etc.
