Prior to 1998, the following existed on-site: the Biofords Consultants and Genset companies, and the Association Française contre les Myopathies. A joint and voluntarist policy needed to be developed and shared by a group of partners, and particularly by local public authorities, who consider setting up small and medium companies on their territories as a major objective. This increases direct employment and creates new dynamics in the local industries and university.

Thanks to the support of the Ile-de-France region and local authorities, Genopole® contributes to attracting laboratories and companies by offering them infrastructures and substantial logistical help. Scientific potential at an international level, the high concentration of academic researchers as well as government support, with a set of measures at a national level, and the commitment of local authorities are also added incentives.
These many partners support and accompany Genopole®, in several ways, in accomplishing its mission.
